Performance and Performers

Well, I'm an old man now. Turned 25 on Sunday. My eyes are fading. My mind is weakening. I'll need to be fitted for dentures and prepped for a knee replacement any day now. My joints creak and I look back at a life wasted hoping that I'll never have to go through all that again.

So anyway, on Saturday Night to Sunday morning, I went to see an old friend perform on stage. These days she's known as Miss Cherry Delight, the lead singer for the Big Tent Jazz Band. And they were incredible. It's a shame the people who organized the performance were complete morons. I'd go see her band again anytime, but it'll be a long time before I ever trust the Heirloom Arts Theater or the Family Tree Music Group again.

On a completely unrelated note, the Red Elvises are one of the best bands ever. And they only ever seem to play the West Coast and in Russia. Would it kill them to put on a show in or near NYC? Bastards. I hate them so much. But only because I love them so much.

Man, this "having feelings" thing is confusing. I should never have asked the Wizard for a heart.
