Fiddly Dee

Okay. Okay. I get it. It's been a week. It's an unacceptably long period of time. God, you imaginary readers are so finicky. But if you'll look to the lovely sidebar on the right of the screen, you'll notice that this makes the tenth post for July 2010. That's one roughly every three days. What's that? 2.333 per week? What do you bloodsuckers want from me?

Next time, I'll do what could very well be the first post of many on a topic near and dear to my heart- opening lines.

But today, I'm busy. And my last post was long. So I'll share just this one piece of advice. When you submit a manuscript electronically, keep your e-mail in operation and check it regularly. I can't tell you how annoying it is when I respond to someone and then months later they ask what the deal is and after I waste inordinate amounts of my time, I find that they changed their e-mail adress and stopped checking the old one, or they never delete anything and their inbox was full so the message was never delivered, or some other such bullshit. Chances are I rejected you already anyway, but I'm trying to be nice and helpful. Please don't make that any harder than it already is.
